Austin Theory was the masked man who interfered in the men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025. WWE did not unmask him at the event. It confirmed his identity on the December 15, 2025 episode of Raw, after he had spent several weeks causing trouble and had helped Logan Paul defeat Rey Mysterio.
What the masked man did at Survivor Series
During the men’s WarGames match, a figure in a black hood climbed the cage and attacked World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk with a superkick and a Stomp. That interference allowed Bron Breakker to secure the win for Team Heyman, according to WWE’s own coverage of the match.
Why the identity was still open in early December
WWE’s article dated December 4, 2025 described the interference but said the attacker’s identity had not yet been revealed. Mark Kaboly listed Austin Theory among the possible identities. That was speculation, presented as a plausible suspect rather than a confirmed answer, and readers who saw that article at the time were still waiting for the reveal.
How the reveal played out
The sequence ran over several weeks and was not a single moment at Survivor Series.

WWE’s separate Raw anniversary retrospective adds that Theory had been teased as the masked man for about a month before joining the faction. The December 15 episode is therefore the point at which the storyline confirmed what the earlier coverage had only suggested.
