WrestleTalk reported that Ray singled out Femi’s closing lines and said the audience stood during them. The phrase “Your daddy is home,” meanwhile, is associated with the moment in fan discussion; it is not established here as a verified line from Femi.
What happened on WWE NXT
Femi returned to NXT on the November 18, 2025 episode and confronted Ricky Saints in the ring. The exchange is the segment behind the headline’s “Daddy is Home” wording. A contemporaneous fan discussion used the phrase “Your daddy is home,” but that alone does not authenticate it as a line spoken by Femi.
What Bully Ray said about the promo
WrestleTalk reported that Bully Ray praised Femi’s performance on Busted Open, attributing to him the comment, “Great job Oba Femi.” The report also reproduced Ray saying that “everybody in the theater stood on their feet when Oba Femi hit those last couple of lines on his promo.” These are excerpts as reported by WrestleTalk, not a verified full transcript of Ray’s remarks.
The reaction focused on the promo’s closing lines and the audience response. The available reporting does not establish a complete transcript of Femi’s promo, so the headline phrase should not be treated as an authenticated quotation from the segment.

Which Hall of Famer was involved?
The Hall of Famer praising Femi in November 2025 was Bully Ray, also known as Bubba Ray Dudley. He is not The Undertaker. The distinction matters because The Undertaker had a separate NXT appearance earlier that year: WWE’s official page records his April 29, 2025 confrontation with NXT Champion Oba Femi.
Why the moment fits Femi’s NXT story
WWE’s official profile provides broader context for Femi’s NXT accomplishments and later main-roster career. The November promo can be read as a return-and-confrontation segment within that larger trajectory, but Ray’s reported praise concerns the specific delivery and audience response—not a documented ranking, award, or measurable reception beyond his account.
