Where viewers could watch
WWE announced ESPN platforms for viewers in the United States and Netflix globally. Netflix’s January 31 event guide named the international territories where members could watch, so availability depended on location rather than being universal. The event has passed; current live or replay access may differ by country and date. Check the relevant service’s current catalog and local availability. Netflix’s guide also said previous Royal Rumble events were available on the service at that time. WWE’s distribution announcement and Netflix’s territory and archive information explain the original arrangement.
Advertised match card and results
The advertised card centered on the two 30-person Rumble matches, a WWE Championship defense, and a bout with AJ Styles’ retirement at stake. The results were:
#1 Best Overall
- Factory sealed DVD
| Match | Result |
|---|---|
| Men’s Royal Rumble | Roman Reigns won. |
| WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Sami Zayn | Drew McIntyre retained the championship. |
| Gunther vs. AJ Styles | Gunther won; WWE’s recap said Styles was forced to retire. |
| Women’s Royal Rumble | Liv Morgan won. |
For the Styles match, the advertised stipulation was that Styles would retire if he lost; if Gunther lost, Styles would take Gunther’s Royal Rumble spot. The pre-event card included selected announced entrants, but the fields could change with additions and surprise entrants, so a preview list should not be mistaken for the final order. WWE’s results recap records the outcomes, while CBS Sports’ event-day preview describes the advertised card and stipulation.
What the pre-event odds said
Oddschecker’s U.S. preview published January 31, 2026 listed the following featured winner prices. These were a dated bookmaker-market snapshot, not official WWE predictions or current odds; prices could differ between operators and change over time.

In that snapshot, Morgan was listed at +100 and Belair at +125 among the featured women; Breakker was -110 and Reigns +175 among the featured men. Reigns and Morgan ultimately won their respective matches, but the result does not make those historical market prices a guarantee or betting advice. WWE described the 2026 event as the first Royal Rumble held outside North America. In its January 6, 2025 corporate announcement, WWE called the 2026 show the 39th annual Royal Rumble. That announcement also framed the Riyadh event as an expansion of WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia; its statements were promotional comments by the named officials, not independent assessments of the event.
Rank #3
WWE Corporate’s announcement attributed the following remarks to HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority: “Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the Royal Rumble for the first time outside North America reflects the General Entertainment Authority’s ongoing commitment to bringing the world’s largest and most important entertainment events to the Kingdom.” Alalshikh also said, “Through this partnership with WWE, we aim to enhance the entertainment sector and deliver a transformative experience that attracts a wide audience.” WWE President Nick Khan said, “WWE is a global enterprise and it only made sense to expand our relationship with the Kingdom by bringing one of our biggest annual events to Riyadh in January of 2026.”
