The first WWE 2K25 DLC pack did not add Paul Bearer’s ghost or a playable Prime Bottle. The New Wave Pack, released May 14, 2025, added four new Superstars. Paul Bearer’s ghost was announced in the same 2K announcement, but as an unlockable in The Island Chapter 2, not as part of New Wave. The playable Prime Bottle featuring KSI came later, in the Fearless Pack, which became available on July 23, 2025. The headline merges three separate announcements, and the sections below separate them.
What the New Wave Pack contained
2K’s May 14, 2025 newsroom announcement introduced New Wave as the first of five planned DLC character and content packs. It featured Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia.

Nothing in the New Wave announcement identifies Paul Bearer or Prime Bottle as part of the pack.

The same May 14, 2025 announcement previewed The Island Chapter 2 as arriving soon. It listed the following for Chapter 2:

The announcement described Chapter 2 as exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The quest, match, and unlockable counts are publisher announcement figures. They were not independently verified. The May announcement said only “soon” and gave no release date, so readers should not assume a specific date for Chapter 2 from that source.
Prime Bottle featuring KSI and the Fearless Pack
Prime Bottle featuring KSI is a separate, later addition. The Steam DLC listing for WWE 2K25 places it in the Fearless Pack, which 2K’s Fearless Pack announcement and the Steam listing both date to July 23, 2025. The New Wave announcement left its celebrity guest unnamed, so linking Prime Bottle to New Wave goes beyond what the announcement says.

Platform access and purchase routes
The official WWE 2K Support FAQ (updated July 8, 2026) lists Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S as supported platforms for the game. Access to The Island Chapter 2 is narrower, according to the May 2025 announcement:

New Wave was offered individually or as part of the Season Pass. According to the support FAQ, the Season Pass includes all five post-launch DLC character packs and the SuperCharger. The May 2025 announcement also said DLC, The Island, and MyFACTION require WWE 2K25, an internet connection, and a 2K Account, and that minimum age varies.

Cross-generation rules differ by platform:
- PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5: cross-progression and a shared VC wallet are supported, but DLC items do not carry over between these console generations. Check platform compatibility before buying.
- Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S: the VC wallet is shared, but cross-progression is not supported.
The Standard Edition is available digitally or physically. A physical copy is the base game only; neither New Wave nor Chapter 2 is bundled with it.

- The celebrity guest in the New Wave announcement was not named there. Prime Bottle’s presence in the Fearless Pack is documented, but the May 2025 announcement does not identify him as the guest.
- No release date for The Island Chapter 2 appears in the May 2025 announcement, which said only “soon.”
- Official announcements and storefront listings describe what was offered. They do not include hands-on testing, performance measurements, or player reception.
- Storefront details and support FAQ content can change. The Steam listing, for example, may be updated after this article was written.
For a headline that matches the record, Paul Bearer’s ghost belongs to The Island Chapter 2, New Wave was the first DLC pack, and Prime Bottle featuring KSI arrived with the Fearless Pack.
