Alex Lagina’s role after Season 12
HISTORY’s cast biography describes Alex as an integral member of the Oak Island team, working alongside his father, Marty, and uncle, Rick. It also says he has an engineering background and brings a methodical, objective approach to investigations on the island and at related sites abroad.

That biography supports the conclusion that Alex remained part of the show’s team, rather than having publicly left after Season 12.
What Season 13 confirms
HISTORY lists a Season 13, establishing that the series continued beyond Season 12. More specifically, Corjan Mol, a participant in the program, wrote on April 28, 2026, that he returned for the European road-trip segment and met Rick and Alex Lagina with the team in the Azores. His account is a firsthand report of that segment, not a complete cast list or episode-by-episode record.

The available reliable sources do not establish that Alex quit the show, disappeared from the team, or underwent a major personal or employment change after Season 12. They also do not reliably confirm his current job outside the program, residence, relationship status, or health. Claims about those subjects should not be treated as fact without credible, attributable reporting.
