Contemporaneous reports said she had broken her foot in a gym accident on Valentine’s Day, citing statements from Beckham and her husband, David.
What happened to Victoria Beckham’s foot?
Yahoo Entertainment reported that Beckham fell at the gym on Valentine’s Day 2024. Her post, as quoted by Yahoo, said: “Fell over in the gym!!!!!” David Beckham described the injury as a “clean break” in a social media post relayed by Yahoo Entertainment and E! News. These are the couple’s reported descriptions; the coverage does not include independent medical records.
Why was she on crutches at Paris Fashion Week?
On March 1, Beckham was seen leaving her Paris hotel on crutches ahead of her Autumn/Winter 2024 show. The Evening Standard reported that she also closed the show on crutches. Coverage described her wearing a medical boot as she moved around the event.
What did Beckham say about the boot and crutches?
At a preview before the show, Beckham told the Evening Standard: “I’ve been looking forward to getting out of this boot. I’ve had to really embrace a legging and kitten heel”. While pointing at photographs of looks with her crutch, she added: “I’m so sorry to point with this but I am finding it very empowering”. Her remarks referred to the preview and should not be confused with descriptions of other Paris appearances.

Were the Alaïa pumps from the same appearance?
No. Vogue’s February 27, 2024 coverage identified Alaïa Le Coeur pumps in an earlier Paris appearance with an injured foot and leg brace. The Evening Standard’s account of the later show preview described a kitten heel. These are separate fashion moments, not evidence that she wore both styles at one appearance.
What is not established about the injury?
The contemporaneous reports do not establish the exact fracture location, clinical advice, treatment plan, or recovery timeline. They also do not provide a medical source independently confirming the injury. A later claim by crutch vendor Cool Crutches that Beckham wore its Classic Black Cool Crutches appears in the company’s October 29, 2025 retrospective; the contemporaneous coverage cited above does not independently verify the specific model.
