Venom: The Last Dance box office total and worldwide gross
Box Office Mojo lists Venom: The Last Dance at $478,937,618 worldwide. That total comprises $139,755,882 domestic and $339,181,736 international, according to its current film listing, accessed October 8, 2026. Box Office Mojo’s release and weekend data also identifies Sony Pictures Releasing as the distributor and October 25, 2024, as the U.S. release date.
The worldwide number depends on the source. The Numbers’ Venom franchise table reports $474,492,936 worldwide, while giving the same domestic total of $139,755,882. Its film page lists $334,737,054 internationally. Sony’s year-end figure is different again: its FY25 third-quarter supplemental information reports rounded grosses of $140 million in North America, $338 million internationally and $478 million total. Sony says the North American figure comes from Box Office Mojo and the international figure from Sony Pictures Releasing International.
| Source and basis | Domestic or North America | International | Worldwide total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Box Office Mojo, current listing; accessed October 8, 2026 | $139,755,882 domestic | $339,181,736 | $478,937,618 |
| The Numbers, current franchise table; accessed October 8, 2026 | $139,755,882 domestic | $334,737,054, listed on its film page | $474,492,936 |
| Sony Group Corporation, FY25 third-quarter supplemental information; rounded, with North American and international figures from different sources | $140 million North America | $338 million | $478 million |
These are source-specific totals, not figures to combine or average. The available reporting shows a discrepancy but does not establish its precise cause. Sony’s $478 million figure is rounded and uses a mixed-source basis; it should not be mistaken for a separately verified exact total. Sony’s supplemental information explains that reporting basis.

Domestic gross and opening weekend
The film opened in the United States on October 25, 2024. Box Office Mojo reports a domestic opening weekend of $51,012,404 from 4,131 theaters for October 25–27. Sony Pictures Japan’s October 28 release also gave the U.S. opening date and theater count.
Sony’s Japanese release reported an early worldwide snapshot of $175 million: $51 million domestic and $124 million overseas, citing Box Office Mojo as of October 28, 2024. That was a first-weekend-era update, not the film’s completed worldwide gross. Sony Pictures Japan’s October 28, 2024 press release provides that dated snapshot.

Does the box-office gross show whether the film made a profit?
No. Box-office gross is the amount collected at theaters, not the studio’s profit. The Numbers lists a $110 million production budget. The Associated Press described the budget as about $120 million, excluding promotion and marketing. Those estimates differ, and neither figure is a final profit statement; gross alone does not establish how much the studio ultimately earned. The Numbers’ film page lists its budget, while the Associated Press report of October 27, 2024 gives the higher estimate and specifies that marketing is excluded.
