Según la publicación, familiares y amigos velaron a Lizalde el lunes por la noche, lejos de las cámaras. La nota mencionó entre los asistentes a Jacqueline Andere, Adriana Roel, Julieta Egurrola y Óscar Chávez.
La publicación atribuyó a la familia una petición de respeto a su privacidad. Enrique Singer, identificado como hijo del actor, explicó: “Nuestro homenaje en realidad es absolutamente privado; es la familia con su recuerdo, con el amor que le hemos tenido”.
