Universal Mega Movie Parade is a daytime parade at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, bringing together classic Universal-associated films and newer animated franchises. The July 2024 debut report named nine franchises and described set-piece moments from Ghostbusters, E.T. and Jurassic World. Universal’s current pages promote the parade on select days, but do not confirm that every float from the 2024 lineup is still operating.
What movies are in the Universal Mega Movie Parade?
At the parade’s July 2024 premiere, Sabina Graves’s io9 report listed nine franchises. It paired older genre favorites with more recent animated hits:
- Classic and adventure films: Back to the Future, Jaws, Ghostbusters, Jurassic World and E.T.
- Animated franchises: Minions, Sing, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda
This is the lineup reported at the 2024 premiere, not a guarantee of the parade’s current lineup. Universal’s current experience listing highlights T. rex, E.T. and Trolls, but does not enumerate all parade floats.
What happens on the floats?
The 2024 io9 coverage described several scenes that recreate recognizable moments or characters from the films. These are details from that premiere report, not current operating specifications.
