That makes them billionaires by this reported estimate—not by a publicly available, audited accounting of their personal assets and debts. A separate Forbes estimate put the creators’ share of digital revenues under their 2025 deal at $250 million per year; that figure is not the same as salary or net worth.
Who created South Park?
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the co-creators of South Park. The official South Park Studios site says they met at the University of Colorado. Their work together also includes The Book of Mormon, extending their creative business beyond the animated series.

How much are Trey Parker and Matt Stone worth?
Forbes Australia estimated in July 2025 that Parker and Stone each had a net worth of $1.2 billion. On that estimate, both creators are billionaires. The figure is a media estimate, not a verified balance sheet: the available sources do not provide an audited accounting of their assets, liabilities, ownership interests, taxes, or how much wealth they hold in liquid form.
It is important to keep three kinds of figures separate. A net-worth estimate concerns a person’s overall assets and liabilities; an annual revenue-share estimate concerns money attributed to a business arrangement; and a contract announcement can describe content and distribution commitments without disclosing an individual’s compensation. None of those figures, by itself, establishes how much cash either creator personally received.

What does the reported $250 million annual figure mean?
Forbes’ profile of Matt Stone reports that the creators’ half of digital revenues under the 2025 renewal was estimated at $250 million per year. This is Forbes’ estimate of a revenue share, not an official Paramount figure, a confirmed salary, or a guaranteed personal payment to each creator. The official announcement confirms the renewed arrangement and its content and distribution terms, but does not disclose personal wealth or verify Forbes’ annual estimate.
Why does the 2007 digital-revenue agreement matter?
Forbes reports that Parker and Stone negotiated a 50/50 share of digital revenues with Comedy Central in 2007, when digital revenues from the show were then nonexistent. Forbes describes the share as lasting “in perpetuity.” That reported arrangement helps explain why later streaming distribution became economically significant: it connected the creators’ deal to a category of revenue that was not yet producing income when the agreement was made.

The detail is Forbes’ account of the agreement; the available sources do not provide the contract itself. It should therefore be understood as reported business context, not as a direct statement by Parker or Stone or a complete description of every term.
What did Paramount announce in 2025?
In a July 23, 2025 announcement, Paramount said it, Park County, and South Park Digital Studios had renewed their arrangement with Parker and Stone for five years. Paramount listed 50 new episodes, all 26 previous seasons, continued distribution on Comedy Central, and Paramount+ distribution around the world. The announcement establishes the term and the stated content and distribution commitments; it does not state the creators’ personal net worth or confirm an annual payout.

Parker and Stone co-wrote The Book of Mormon. A 2024–2025 Wharton Center program also notes Matt Stone’s Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. These credits show the breadth of their creative work, but the program does not quantify their income from the musical, so it cannot be used to calculate their net worth.
