It was presented as a community-influenced, top-down multiplayer shooter set in the Eden universe. Arbitrum was named as the foundation for its first activation, while Sequence was to provide blockchain tools. The official Eden Online site now says its Battle Arena is closing, so the project’s launch plans should not be confused with its current access status.
What is Captain Laserhawk: the G.A.M.E.?
Ubisoft Labs, the Arbitrum Foundation and Sequence unveiled the project on August 6, 2024. It was described as a transmedia game expanding the world of Netflix’s animated series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. The announced setting also brought in characters and references from Ubisoft franchises including Assassin’s Creed, Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil. The announcement framed it as a player-influenced experience, rather than simply a conventional adaptation of the series.

The planned gameplay and community role
A December 2024 launch announcement described the game as a competitive, top-down multiplayer shooter and set December 18, 2024 as its planned launch date. The original concept placed players among Eden’s citizens: challenges and community-created or shared content were meant to raise a citizen score and give players influence over narrative and decisions. Those statements describe the announced design goals; they do not independently confirm how each feature ultimately operated. The December launch announcement also presented Niji Warrior IDs as a way to participate in the project’s community.
What Arbitrum and Sequence were doing
The partners had distinct roles in the announced technology setup. Arbitrum was identified as the blockchain foundation for the game’s first activation and core, while Sequence was named as the provider of blockchain tooling. In practical terms, the collaboration connected Ubisoft’s game project to an on-chain layer for digital identities, items and community features; the announcements do not establish that players needed to understand blockchain technology to follow the game’s story or shooter format. The original partner announcement explains the stated roles.

What were Niji Warrior IDs?
The December 11, 2024 announcement described a free mint of Niji Warrior NFT IDs. According to that announcement, holders were intended to receive early access, governance capabilities, rewards, VIP community channels and opportunities to engage with developers. These were announced benefits, not a guarantee that every benefit remains available now. The current Eden Online site describes Niji Warriors as collectible identities linked to Ubisoft worlds and discusses digital items such as skins, emotes and rewards.
Current status: the Eden Battle Arena is closing
As of the Eden Online site’s notice accessible on October 8, 2026, the Eden Battle Arena is “coming to a close.” The notice says players who are already signed up can continue accessing the game and can claim shop items and Battle Pass collectibles, then mint them on the E.V.M. until June 30. The notice does not specify the year for that deadline, so the date should not be treated as a confirmed future cutoff without checking the site directly. It does not establish that new players can sign up or that the announced launch perks remain open. Check Ubisoft’s Eden Online site for the live notice.
The items described there are digital assets. The available project information does not establish a physical edition or a physical product needed to play.

Captain Laserhawk also appeared in a separate Trackmania crossover announced by Ubisoft Nadeo on October 20, 2023. That announcement described an Eden-themed environment, a Laserhawk car skin for Club Access, and a dedicated mod and 3D track-building items for PC players. Those were Trackmania features, not the launch or current-access terms for Captain Laserhawk: the G.A.M.E.. Ubisoft Nadeo’s article covers that separate crossover.
