What is known about the adult and his intent?
Coverage has not consistently confirmed the adult’s identity. The Economic Times named Polish businessman Piotr Szczerek and reported Majchrzak’s description of the moment as confusion: the player had not noticed the child miss out, and Szczerek wanted to make things right. BuzzFeed cautioned that the adult’s identity was not fully confirmed in its reporting, so the name should be treated as an attributed identification, not a settled finding.
