What Trump said about Taylor Swift and Biden
Trump wrote that he had “signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists.” He then claimed Swift could not endorse Biden without being “disloyal to the man who made her so much money.” Those are Trump’s words in his February 11, 2024, archived Truth Social post, not independently verified conclusions.
What the Music Modernization Act does
The Music Modernization Act became Public Law 115-264 on October 11, 2018. Its enacted text amends federal copyright law and addresses music licensing and royalty administration. It is a law governing those systems, not a documented personal payment to Swift. The statutory text does not establish that Trump personally made Swift money or specify a change in her earnings attributable to the Act.
Trump signed the legislation as president; Congress passed it, and the law’s provisions operate as written. The available sources do not support assigning Trump sole authorship of the Act.

What is known about Swift’s endorsements
Rolling Stone, in a report carried by Yahoo News, noted that Swift endorsed Biden in 2020. That earlier endorsement is context, not evidence of what she would decide in 2024. The cited sources do not establish a later 2024 endorsement decision. Read the report.
