The relationship fact established here is about the characters: Rick Grimes and Michonne are a fictional couple. Their story does not establish anything about the actors’ private lives.
Which cast members are included?
“Main cast” here means a practical central group of five performers named on AMC’s The Walking Dead series page: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan and Danai Gurira. It is not an exhaustive ranking of every performer who appeared in the series. The table separates performer ages and reported heights from the characters they played.

Ages and reported heights of the selected cast
Ages below are calculated from cited birth dates as of October 8, 2026. Heights are third-party profile entries, not measurements confirmed by AMC.
| Performer | Character | Age on October 8, 2026 | Reported height |
|---|---|---|---|
| Andrew Lincoln | Rick Grimes | 53 | 5 ft 9¾ in (1.77 m), IMDb profile |
| Norman Reedus | Daryl Dixon | 57 | 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), IMDb profile |
| Melissa McBride | Carol Peletier | 61 | 5 ft 6 in (1.68 m), IMDb profile |
| Lauren Cohan | Maggie Greene | Not established in the sources cited here | Not established in the sources cited here |
| Danai Gurira | Michonne | 48 | 5 ft 6¼ in (1.68 m), IMDb profile |
The birth-date and height entries for Lincoln, McBride and Gurira come from their IMDb profiles. IMDb lists Reedus’s height; TV Insider gives his birth date, January 6, 1969, in its Norman Reedus profile. AMC identifies McBride with the role of Carol in its cast and bios material. Cohan is included because AMC names her among the cast, but the cited sources do not adequately establish her age or height. The listed ages are the performers’ ages on the stated date, not the characters’ ages.
#1 Best Overall
Are Rick and Michonne together?
Yes, within the story. Rick Grimes and Michonne are a fictional couple in The Walking Dead universe. In its 2024 coverage of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the Associated Press described their characters trying to find their way back to one another after years apart. That is a relationship between Rick and Michonne, not a claim about Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira.
What is known about the actors’ real-life relationship statuses?
A reliable, current relationship-status roster for Lincoln, Reedus, McBride, Cohan and Gurira is not established by the sources cited here. Without direct, current reporting, it would be misleading to label any of them single, married, dating or separated. Character romances shown on television cannot verify performers’ private relationships.
Rank #2
Where can readers explore the source material?
Readers interested in the story’s origins can look to the comic-book title created by Robert Kirkman, which AMC identifies in its series information. The comic is companion source material, distinct from the AMC television adaptation.
