What was Travis Kelce’s role in the film?
SXSW credits Kelce as an executive producer. The film’s producer credits name Hausmann-Stokes, Paul Scanlan, Terri Lubaroff, Ray Maiello, Mike Field, Richard Silverman and Robert Paschall Jr.; Kelce appears separately in the executive-producer group. The Associated Press described the role as his first executive producer credit. AP’s February 2024 report said the film was set to premiere at SXSW that March.
Kelce also offered a glimpse of his entertainment taste in comments AP attributed to an interview with the Los Angeles Times: “I’m comedy all the way,” he said. “I just like to have a fun time and make people laugh.”

When and where did it premiere at SXSW?
My Dead Friend Zoe had its world premiere at the 2024 South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in the Narrative Spotlight section, as a Narrative Feature. SXSW’s schedule lists a March 9 screening at the Paramount Theatre and another on March 13 at Zach Theater. Its listing gives the film a 101-minute runtime.
The film later reached U.S. theaters in February 2025 and video-on-demand in March 2025, according to Legion M’s project page. Legion M names Briarcliff Entertainment as its U.S. distribution partner and says Universal Pictures acquired international distribution rights in 2025.

Universal Pictures At Home currently lists My Dead Friend Zoe for digital rental or purchase, as well as on Blu-ray + Digital and DVD. Digital availability and terms can vary by retailer; Universal says digital purchases provide a limited license to access the content. Blu-ray and DVD are physical editions.
The runtime differs across the official listings: SXSW gives 101 minutes, while Universal Pictures At Home lists 1 hour 43 minutes (103 minutes). Neither page explains the two-minute difference, so the listings do not establish one definitive runtime.
