Two of Comic-Con International: San Diego 2025’s clearest screen highlights were very different kinds of reveals: DC and HBO Max debuted a public trailer for Peacemaker Season 2, while Disney showed TRON: Ares footage exclusively to the Hall H audience. The panels also offered a soundtrack debut, a look at Predator: Badlands, and DC booth news. These are selected moments, not a ranking or a complete account of the convention.
Peacemaker Season 2: a trailer viewers could watch after the panel
At its Hall H presentation, DC and HBO Max debuted the Season 2 trailer for Peacemaker. Unlike footage restricted to people in the room, a trailer debut is a public-facing preview that viewers can watch beyond the convention. The season was scheduled at the time to premiere August 21, 2025, on HBO Max. HBO Max’s announcement covered the trailer and scheduled premiere.
DC’s official Comic-Con lineup also named an “Eat Peace” T-shirt and baseball cap among the Season Two merchandise. The items were promoted around the 2025 event; that announcement does not establish present-day stock or availability. DC’s Comic-Con lineup listed the merchandise.
TRON: Ares: exclusive Hall H footage and a Nine Inch Nails debut
Disney’s TRON: Ares panel took place in Hall H on Friday, July 25. The convention program grid lists the film on Friday, and The Associated Press reported that the panel screened footage exclusively for attendees. The footage included light-cycle chase sequences; it was not the same as a public trailer release. The Associated Press report describes the footage and panel, while the Comic-Con program grid confirms the Friday placement.

The presentation also premiered the music video for “As Alive as You Need Me to Be,” the first Nine Inch Nails song from the film’s soundtrack. Director Joachim Rønning said, “It’s fun to see it on the big screen for the first time.” Greta Lee, asked what excited her about joining the franchise, replied, “I just wanted to ride a light cycle.” Steven Lisberger, writer and director of the 1982 TRON, reflected, “My feeling about ‘Tron’ is that the most important thing is we kick this technology around artistically before it kicks us around.” All three statements were reported by The Associated Press.
Disney’s post-event recap listed October 10, 2025, as the film’s theatrical opening date. That was a scheduled date announced in 2025, not a current release-status update. Disney’s recap also covers the studio’s other Hall H panel.

How the Peacemaker and TRON reveals differed
| Panel | What attendees saw | What followed |
|---|---|---|
| Peacemaker Season 2 | A trailer debuted at the Hall H presentation; the trailer was a public preview. | A scheduled HBO Max premiere date of August 21, 2025. |
| TRON: Ares | Footage screened exclusively to Hall H attendees, including light-cycle chases. | A music-video premiere for “As Alive as You Need Me to Be,” the first Nine Inch Nails song from the soundtrack, and a scheduled theatrical opening of October 10, 2025. |
The distinction is useful: a trailer can circulate beyond the event, while exclusive footage is an in-room presentation. The panels also covered different formats—a returning television season and a feature-film franchise—and the available reporting does not establish an objective ranking of which mattered more.
Predator: Badlands: an unfinished opening and alternate ending
Disney’s other Hall H presentation, moderated by filmmaker Kevin Smith, focused on Predator: Badlands. The studio said the panel included an exclusive look at an alternate ending and a screening of the film’s first 15 minutes; The Associated Press described the opening footage as unfinished. The film concerns a Predator sent on its first hunt on an unforgiving planet. Disney’s recap names the panel participants—Elle Fanning, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, and director and producer Dan Trachtenberg—and says attendees received an exclusive poster. The Associated Press report describes the film and footage.

Disney’s recap listed November 7, 2025, as the film’s scheduled opening date; it is a historical announcement, not a statement of current availability. Disney’s recap provides both details.
DC booth news and convention merchandise
DC’s post-event recap described a booth marking comics from 1935–1945, a free 1940s-style Daily Planet newspaper, creator signings, and apparel, accessories, and variant covers promoted through the booth and DC Shop. These are reported booth activities and merchandise categories, not confirmation that event items remain in stock. DC’s recap gives the details.

The Associated Press described Comic-Con 2025 as expected to draw an estimated 135,000 attendees. That was a pre-event estimate, not a final attendance total. The Associated Press reported the estimate. Separately, Disney’s figure of more than 6,500 Predator-mask wearers refers specifically to the studio’s account of the Predator: Badlands Hall H panel, not an audited count of all attendees.
