Tom Holland announced the fourth standalone Spider-Man film starring him as Spider-Man: Brand New Day at CinemaCon in April 2025. In a video message, he called it a “fresh start” and linked that description to the cliffhanger ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home—without revealing what the new film’s plot will be.
What is the Spider-Man 4 title?
The official title announced at CinemaCon was Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Good Morning America reported that Holland made the announcement in a video message. Tom’s Guide reported the title and event, as did Good Morning America, on April 1, 2025.

What did Holland mean by “fresh start”?
Holland tied the phrase to the unresolved ending of the preceding film. Good Morning America transcribed his CinemaCon message this way: “I know we left you with a massive cliff-hanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.”
That comment establishes how Holland described the film, not what happens in it. The title and “fresh start” wording alone do not confirm a particular plot, character lineup, or direction for the story.

How did Holland describe the film later?
In remarks covered by GamesRadar+ on September 22, 2025, Holland called the movie “the first movie in the next chapter” and “a rebirth,” adding: “This is Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This is a rebirth. This is something completely new.” Those comments extend his framing of the film as a new chapter, but do not disclose its plot. GamesRadar+ reported his later remarks.

CinemaCon coverage in April 2025 gave July 31, 2026 as the theatrical release date. That was the announced schedule at the time, not confirmation of the film’s current release status: the date has passed, and the cited coverage does not establish whether the film opened as scheduled. Tom’s Guide and Good Morning America both reported the date in April 2025.
