The rules above are described in Wordle’s own feedback system as reported in the puzzle guides. The rule about repeated letters is worth keeping in mind: for #1291, a clue that the answer has no repeated letters means a guess with a doubled letter cannot be correct.

Solving tips for this puzzle
- Start with a word that tests common vowels, such as A, E, I, or O, if you have not guessed yet.
- Once you have L in the first position, test words beginning with L that use the letters M, U, R, or E.
- Use a gray tile to rule out a letter immediately rather than guessing it again.
