Two entries that trip people up

BERG (8A) is a piece of a word rather than a standalone term. The clue describes an iceberg, and the answer is the second half of that word.

TEN (4D) is a short answer to a clue about the older meaning of “decimate.” The clue’s intended number is ten, and that is all the entry requires.
