Hints for Strands #470
- Theme: “Key notes.”
- Spangram: It has 11 letters, starts with P, and runs from the top edge at the third column to the bottom edge at the third column.
- Theme-word initials: ET, SU, PR, MIN, SO, and NO. The spangram begins PI.
To earn in-game hints, find three words that are not part of the theme. Try REPEAT, NEEDS, LICE, SAUCE, PLATE, or CLUE. A hint reveals letters of a theme word; if a hint is already active, the next hint shows that word’s letter order. Parade’s June 16 guide attributes the game instructions to the New York Times.
How the Strands board works
Find theme words to fill the board. Drag or tap adjacent letters to form a word; when tapping, double-tap the final letter to submit. Theme words fill the board and do not overlap. The spangram describes the theme, touches two opposite sides of the board, and may consist of two words.
