The sources available do not confirm a 2026 theatrical engagement, participating cinemas, showtimes, tickets, or screening format.
What was the confirmed theater date?
Disney announced that the film would return to theaters on October 11, 2024. Daps Magic reproduced Disney’s social post with the wording, “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas returns to theaters October 11.” The announcement’s context identifies that date as October 11, 2024. Is the film returning to theaters in 2026?
A 2026 theatrical screening is not confirmed by the sources available here. Fathom’s 2026 Big Screen Classics announcement does not list the film in its surfaced lineup; that omission is not proof that no cinema will screen it. A dated, official distributor or theater schedule would be needed to establish a 2026 date, participating locations, showtimes, screening format, and ticket availability. What about Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Holiday?
Disneyland Resort’s 2026 Halloween announcement includes Haunted Mansion Holiday, an attraction inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. It is a theme-park experience, not a theatrical screening of the movie. Disneyland Resort’s 2026 Halloween announcement
