A Mega Starmie ex Pokémon Trading Card Game card also appears. The stream was reported on April 2, 2026, and appeared timed for April Fools’ Day in overseas time zones—but the joke explanation has not been confirmed by Pokémon.
What happens in the video?
Inside Games reported that the overseas official Pokémon YouTube channel hosted a livestream showing Mega Starmie running continuously through a vividly colored, psychedelic-looking environment. Upbeat music plays as the scene repeats over the stream’s ten-hour runtime. Inside Games’ April 2, 2026 report links to the livestream.

The format is the joke: a familiar Pokémon is given an unusually long, repetitive run through a surreal setting, rather than appearing in a conventional short promotional clip. The report describes it as a livestream; it does not establish whether the video remains available to watch now.
Why was it posted around April Fools’ Day?
The report notes that the stream’s April 2 posting date coincided with April Fools’ Day in overseas time zones, making an April Fools’ gag a plausible explanation for its strange premise. That is the report’s interpretation, not a stated explanation from The Pokémon Company. No official comment confirming the intent is cited.

What does the Mega Starmie ex card have to do with it?
A Mega Starmie ex Pokémon Trading Card Game card is shown during the stream. Its appearance suggests a connection to the card or a product tie-in, but the report does not confirm that the livestream was part of a specific sales campaign. The card is the relevant collectible to look up if you want to identify what appeared on screen; current retailer stock and listings are not established here.
