Check that the stream is actually 4K
A title’s presence in a streaming service does not mean it will play in 4K on every device or plan. Check the title’s quality badge in the service app on the device you will watch; Netflix says the title page’s labels reflect the quality available on that device. Its highest resolution labels are “4K” and “4K HDR.”

Service-specific connection guidance
Netflix’s Help Center guidance for 4K playback on Apple TV calls for a compatible 4K television, a plan that supports Ultra HD, a steady connection of at least 15 Mbps, and playback quality set to High. The 15 Mbps figure is Netflix’s recommendation for that setup, not a universal threshold for every service.
Disney+ recommends 25 Mbps for 4K UHD content. It notes that low speeds or an inconsistent connection can affect streaming quality. Follow the requirements of the service you are using rather than treating either number as a general 4K standard.

Availability depends on where you watch
The Stuff article linked to services including Netflix, Paramount+, Disney+, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, and Apple TV+. Those links do not establish that every title remains available there, that it is available in your country, or that the service currently offers it in 4K or HDR. Streaming catalogs and quality options can change. Search the title in your local service app and confirm its format before settling in.
If your display cannot show 4K, these titles may still be watchable at a lower resolution when the service offers them. A 4K TV is only relevant if you want a screen capable of displaying 4K; you do not need to buy one just to use this list.
