Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

The best-documented examples are also different things: a forehead piercing, facial diamonds described by a jeweler, a reported cheekbone implant, and dental prosthodontics. Here is what the available reporting establishes—and what it does not.
Why a reliable top-ten ranking is not possible
“Implant” is often used loosely in entertainment coverage. A piece of jewelry held by a piercing, a reported facial implant, and a dental prosthesis are not the same kind of modification. The available reports also do not provide consistently sourced prices: one value is a reported estimate, another is a reported cost, and several cases have no price stated. Putting them in a single ranked list would imply a comparison the evidence cannot support.

Lil Uzi Vert: the forehead diamond was described as a piercing
In a March 2026 interview with Dazed, Lil Uzi Vert called the forehead diamond “a piercing!” The interview reported that Uzi still had the diamond and planned to return it to their forehead with the help of two anchors they were working on. That account does not establish that they were wearing it at the time of the interview.
A 2021 report by TMZ put the stone’s value at $24 million and its size at “10, almost 11 carats.” Those are reported figures, not an independently verified appraisal in the cited coverage. The valuation therefore cannot be treated as a confirmed purchase price or a basis for a precise ranking.

Young Thug: a facial diamond described by the jeweler
In Rolling Stone, Eliantte & Co. representative Simon Babaev said the jeweler had done work on faces and that Young Thug had a diamond implanted on his face in 2016. This is a jeweler-sourced account; the report does not establish a price for the modification.
Sauce Walka: a reported tear-shaped cheekbone implant
VICE’s 2021 report described Sauce Walka’s facial modification as a tear-shaped cheekbone implant and gave a reported value of $250,000. That figure should be attributed to the article, not treated as an independently audited cost.
The article also quoted a piercer describing the general dermal-piercing method: a small incision is made and a flat titanium bar sits under the skin. That explanation is not confirmation of the hardware used for Uzi’s piercing or of the precise construction of Walka’s reported modification.
Ye: dental prosthodontics, not a decorative body implant
A 2024 Washington Post report covered Ye’s titanium dental structure and described the work as prosthodontics. The publication attributed design details to a person close to him. This belongs in a discussion of notable body modifications only with that distinction made clear; it is not the same category as a facial piercing or cheek implant. The report does not provide a comparable price for ranking it against the other examples.

What the reports establish—and what they leave open
| Artist | What was reported | Price evidence | Status or qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lil Uzi Vert | Forehead diamond described by Uzi as a piercing | $24 million valuation and “10, almost 11 carats” reported by TMZ in 2021; not an independent appraisal | Dazed reported in March 2026 that Uzi still had the diamond and was working on anchors to return it to their forehead |
| Young Thug | Diamond implanted on his face, according to Eliantte & Co. representative Simon Babaev in Rolling Stone | Not stated in the cited report | Jeweler-sourced account referring to 2016 |
| Sauce Walka | Tear-shaped cheekbone implant, as reported by VICE | $250,000 reported by VICE in 2021; not an independently audited cost | Described in a 2021 report |
| Ye | Titanium dental structure and prosthodontics, as reported by The Washington Post | Not stated in the cited report | Design details attributed by the newspaper to a person close to him |
These cases are notable, but they do not form a defensible “ten most expensive” list. The reports differ in what they call the modification, who supplied the information, and whether a price was given. They also do not substantiate a broader list of ten comparable cases. A claim that one is definitively the strangest or most expensive would go beyond what these sources establish.
