The available reporting does not support a reliable ranking of eight things Bono currently owns. It does document a reported historical $15 million purchase of a Manhattan duplex and company-linked interests in two European commercial properties. Those records have important limits: the purchase price is not a present-day valuation, and the reporting does not establish that Bono still owns the properties.
Why an eight-item ranking would be misleading
A ranked list implies that eight assets are documented, valued on comparable terms, and currently owned by Bono. The available evidence does not establish those conditions. It identifies a small number of historical property holdings, without current valuations or confirmation of present ownership for every residence and investment.

That distinction matters: a reported purchase price is not a current market value, and an interest held through a company is not necessarily a personally owned asset in full. The most useful answer is therefore a short account of what reporting documents—and what it does not.
What reporting documents about Bono’s properties
Manhattan’s San Remo duplex
A biographical overview reports that Bono bought a top-floor duplex in Manhattan’s San Remo from Steve Jobs for $15 million in the late 1980s or early 1990s. That figure is a reported historical purchase price, not a current valuation. The overview does not establish whether Bono still owns the residence. Read the biographical overview.

Interests in a Lithuanian shopping centre and a German office building
A 5 November 2017 investigation by The Irish Times, based on Paradise Papers documents, reported that Bono, whose legal name is Paul Hewson, had interests in a shopping centre in Utena, Lithuania, and the Silberpalais office building in Duisburg, Germany. The report described corporate structures connected to the investments, including a Guernsey company that held the Lithuanian property after earlier company arrangements. It does not establish the value of Bono’s share today or whether he retains either interest. Read the Irish Times investigation.
Residences reported in Ireland and the south of France
The same biographical overview also reports residences in Ireland and the south of France, alongside the New York residence. It supplies no current market values or title records to confirm present ownership of each home. They cannot be ranked against the duplex or the commercial-property interests on the evidence available. Read the biographical overview.

Former holdings and items that do not support a current list
The Clarence Hotel
Bono and U2 bandmate The Edge bought and refurbished Dublin’s Clarence Hotel. The biographical overview says they sold the leasehold in 2019 and the property in 2023. It is a historical business holding, not evidence of a current possession. Read the biographical overview.
Paintings for Peter and the Wolf
Bono made paintings for a 2003 Peter and the Wolf book, but the overview reports that the works were auctioned. It does not document a retained, high-value art collection. Read the overview’s account of the artwork.

What is Bono’s most expensive property?
Among the examples documented here, the San Remo duplex has the clearest price attached to it: a reported $15 million historical purchase price. That does not establish that it is Bono’s most expensive property today. The commercial interests have no comparable value in the cited reporting, and the available sources do not confirm current ownership or provide current valuations across the properties.
