A poster reported as signed by Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki drew a $12,600 bid while a charity auction was still live in July 2024. A later Reddit post said the winning bid was $21,001, but no primary closing record was verified, so that figure should be treated as a reported result—not a confirmed sale price.
What happened at the auction?
YouTuber CDawgVA organized the auction in support of the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Yahoo Entertainment reported on July 15, 2024, that the auction had opened at $1 on July 12 and that bidding had reached $12,600 when its story was written. That amount was a live-auction snapshot, not a final result. Yahoo Entertainment’s July 15 report identified the item as an Elden Ring poster signed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game’s director and FromSoftware president.
The report captured the organizer’s playful reluctance to part with the item. CDawgVA had teased, “He barely ever signs things, why would I give this away?” In the exchange about the poster, he was told: “It’s for charity, Connor. It’s for charity.”
How much did the signed poster sell for?
The verified contemporary figure in the available coverage is $12,600 in bids while the auction was underway. A Reddit post dated July 20, 2024, later said Ludwig won with a $21,001 bid. That is a community-reported result, not a primary auction record; the final bid, payment, and fulfillment were not independently confirmed. The July 20 Reddit post is the source for the later figure.

Who signed it, and where was the money going?
The poster was reported as signed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, and the auction supported the Immune Deficiency Foundation. The available reporting does not provide authentication paperwork or details on how the proceeds were ultimately distributed, so those points should not be assumed from the bid reports alone.
Does the bid establish the poster’s market value?
No. This was a particular charity-auction event involving a rare item and an audience motivated to support a cause. A live bid or a community-reported winning bid cannot by itself establish the ordinary market price of signed Elden Ring memorabilia. Comparisons are meaningful only when they distinguish charity auctions from standard marketplace sales and account for provenance, authentication, whether an item is unique, and whether a figure is a live bid or a completed sale.

The auction coverage does not state the signed poster’s dimensions. A separate eBay listing for a standard Elden Ring poster describes that different item as 24 × 36 inches and shows a historical sale price of $14.99; neither detail establishes the size or value of Miyazaki’s signed poster. The separate eBay listing is relevant only if someone is checking frame fit for a poster matching its listed dimensions.

Elden Ring is an action RPG. Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware reported that the game had sold more than 20 million units worldwide by February 22, 2023. That dated milestone helps explain the franchise’s broad reach, but it is not evidence of the signed poster’s value. Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware’s February 22, 2023 announcement gives the sales milestone.
