Christian “King” Combs, Sean “Diddy” Combs’s eldest son, was seen reading a paper copy of the federal indictment against his father at Manhattan federal court on September 17, 2024. A PEOPLE report syndicated by AOL said he and seven other men requested copies in the courthouse arraignment room.
What happened in court
According to PEOPLE’s report, published September 17, 2024, and syndicated by AOL, Christian “King” Combs arrived at the fifth-floor arraignment room at Manhattan federal court with a group of seven men. The group requested paper copies of the indictment, and Christian was seen reading his copy shortly after arriving on Tuesday morning.
What the indictment charged
The report said the indictment was unsealed at 10:00 a.m. on September 17, 2024, and contained three counts:
- Racketeering conspiracy
- Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion
- Transportation to engage in prostitution
PEOPLE attributed to prosecutors allegations that Combs coerced women into performances called “Freak Offs,” recorded them, and used the recordings as leverage. Prosecutors also alleged violence and distribution of controlled substances, according to the report.
