Resident Evil Requiem’s release date was February 27, 2026. Capcom announced that date on June 9, 2025, and its official store blog confirmed the game was released on February 27, 2026. What platforms is Resident Evil Requiem on?
Capcom’s initial announcement named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. On September 16, 2025, Capcom added Nintendo Switch 2 for launch. The confirmed launch-platform list is:

Capcom describes Resident Evil Requiem as a survival-horror game and the ninth main installment in the series. The company said it was being developed with its RE ENGINE. The franchise had passed 170 million cumulative game sales worldwide as of March 31, 2025, according to Capcom’s June 9, 2025 announcement. Capcom’s announcement provides those details.
Who are the protagonists, and how can you play?
The official materials identify FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and agent Leon S. Kennedy. Capcom describes both first-person and third-person perspectives and says the game has multiple difficulty settings. The available official materials establish those options, but do not provide a complete breakdown of how perspectives or difficulty settings work in every section.
