It runs July 8 through November 29, 2026, at Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage Tokyo Gallery in Azabudai Hills. Entry is free; the prints on display are separately priced artworks.

The illustration originally appeared across three consecutive issues of Weekly Shonen Jump—issues 39 through 41 in 2021. Joined horizontally, the three pages become one expansive image. In the exhibition, that image is enlarged and presented as a three-sheet print on handmade Echizen washi.
How the exhibition turns manga pages into a physical artwork
The show’s distinctive experience is not an interactive adaptation of the story. It is the opportunity to view a familiar manga illustration at a different scale and in a specialized print medium. Shueisha says the washi was made by Iwano Heisaburo Paper Mill, a paper maker whose tradition it dates to 1865.

Color collotype printing
The central work uses color collotype, an older photomechanical printing process. Shueisha says the method was chosen for its ability to preserve fine image detail. Each of the three sheets required 23 printing plates, or 69 plates for the complete image.
That production approach changes the encounter with the illustration: instead of reading the image as three magazine pages, visitors see its connected composition enlarged on handmade paper. The exhibition’s focus is the artwork, paper and printing process—not a new manga chapter or an anime-style immersive attraction.
