In a January 31, 2025 interview with The FADER, he explained how the leak disrupted planned promotion, while describing the friendships behind the album’s sound and his ambition to make music that could move a generation.
Why did Jump Out come out early?
The leak left OsamaSon and his team with a choice: continue toward the planned Valentine’s Day release or move the album forward while unauthorized versions were already circulating. According to The FADER’s January 31, 2025 interview, the release was brought forward to that night. Earlier versions had also leaked at points during 2024.

OsamaSon said the leak frustrated him because it took promotional options off the table. He explained that if he had wanted to release a trailer, preview songs on a livestream, or make a music video, the music circulating early undermined those plans. At the same time, he recognized that fans wanted to hear the album. His account holds both sides together: anticipation from listeners did not make losing control of the rollout any less frustrating.
What did the leak change about the rollout?
A scheduled release gives an artist room to decide when listeners hear songs and how the album is introduced. Once tracks circulate ahead of time, promotional moments built around a first reveal can lose their purpose. In OsamaSon’s telling, the leak did not simply alter a date; it removed the possibility of choosing how to preview and present Jump Out.

The FADER also referred to 400 songs leaking in May 2024. That is the figure as the publication described it; it should not be treated as a verified count of the tracks in the later Jump Out leak. The interview does not establish the leak’s commercial impact or how many listeners obtained the album through unauthorized copies.
How does OsamaSon describe making music?
OsamaSon described the producers on Jump Out as friends with whom he had built close relationships. For him, that connection was part of the creative process: shared history and trust made it possible to develop a sound together. He put the ambition this way: “If we can build a friendship, bruh, I know we gonna be able to build a sound together, you feel? Something that can move the whole generation.”

That is OsamaSon’s stated goal, not a measurable claim about the album’s reach. The FADER provides a separate critical description of the music, placing it in rage rap and pointing to Chicago drill flows, pluggnb melodies, and Philly tread patterns. Keeping those perspectives distinct matters: the artist talks about collaboration and ambition, while the publication describes musical influences and style.
How does the Jump Out story fit later leak coverage?
Later accounts offer context, but they describe different moments and should not be folded into the Jump Out story. In a November 2025 interview about Psykotic, republished by Radio 88.8 and attributed to Billboard, OsamaSon said he had made about 1,000 songs that year and selected 17 for that album. He also described his team using CD copies as a way to limit leaks during the Psykotic rollout. Those details concern a later album, not the production or release of Jump Out.

In August 2026, Pitchfork reported that OsamaSon performed an 18-song set of unreleased material at Toronto’s First Class Fest, and recounted a 2024 data dump involving more than 400 unreleased tracks. The report’s description is not the same count or phrasing as The FADER’s reference to 400 songs leaked in May 2024; the figures should remain attributed to their respective publications rather than combined.
