Rotten Tomatoes’ September 23, 2026 guide lists several TV seasons at 100% Tomatometer, but those are current examples—not the original article’s picks. Because scores can change, check the live listings before choosing what to watch.
What a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score tells you
The Tomatometer summarizes critics’ reviews; it is not a guarantee that every critic—or every viewer—loved a show. A 100% score means the reviews counted on the listing are classified as positive. It does not tell you how enthusiastic the reviews were, and it is separate from the Popcornmeter, which reflects audience ratings. Rotten Tomatoes’ listings can show different percentages for the two measures, so identify which one you mean when comparing titles.
A perfect score is also a snapshot, not a permanent award. As more critic reviews are added, the Tomatometer can change. Review count matters: a title at 100% on a smaller sample is more vulnerable to a new negative review than one supported by a larger sample. The Freedom251 article matching this headline specifically advises checking the number of critic reviews when comparing tied scores.
Current 100% examples—and why they are not a definitive top three
Rotten Tomatoes’ guide published September 23, 2026 lists the following TV seasons at 100% Tomatometer in the snapshot represented by that guide. The page also shows Popcornmeter figures; those are audience scores, not alternate versions of the critic score.

These are examples from the dated guide, not a recovered list of the three shows intended by the matching headline. They also include returning seasons, not only brand-new series. The guide snapshot does not establish a single trio that is both the newest and best-supported: premiere timing, review counts and live scores all need checking against each show’s page.
How to identify genuinely new shows with a perfect score
- Start with TV listings. Use Rotten Tomatoes’ TV listings rather than a general film-and-TV results page, so you are comparing television titles.
- Set a recent premiere window. Decide what “new” means for your search—such as a recent series debut—and check the premiere date. A new season of an established series is not the same as a new series.
- Open each show’s page. Confirm that the 100% figure is the Tomatometer, not the Popcornmeter, and note the critic-review count shown with it.
- Compare like with like. If candidates are tied at 100%, a larger critic-review count gives the score a broader basis. Then use premiere date and the kind of show you want to narrow the list.
- Refresh before relying on the result. Recheck the show page shortly before publishing or making a watchlist. A changing review count can alter the percentage.
Why the headline does not yield three confirmed picks
The Freedom251 page dated May 10, 2026 explains this discovery process but does not identify three shows. The later Rotten Tomatoes guide supplies multiple possible examples, but it is dated September 23, 2026 and does not prove which three the earlier headline meant. Naming any three as the article’s original picks would therefore overstate what the available pages establish. Use the examples as starting points, then apply the premiere-window and review-count checks to the live listings.
