Actor Shelley Morrison, best known for playing Rosario on Will & Grace, died on Dec. 1, 2019, at age 83. An Associated Press report hosted by WTOP attributed the information, including the cause of death, to Morrison’s publicist, Lori DeWaal.

Cha In-ha’s death
In a Dec. 6 people-news summary, Reuters reported that South Korean actor Cha In-ha was found dead at home on Dec. 4, citing police.
Kang Daniel pauses performance schedules
The same Reuters summary said Kang Daniel’s agency, Konnect Entertainment, announced that he was taking a break from performance schedules because of “depression and panic attacks.” The statement about his hiatus was attributed to the agency.

Dec. 2019: R. Kelly faces a new federal charge
Reuters reported that federal prosecutors in Brooklyn announced a new bribery charge against R. Kelly, alleging that he was involved in a scheme to recruit underage girls. Reuters also reported that Kelly had pleaded not guilty to separate federal charges. The bribery allegation was a charge, not a finding of guilt.

Dec. 2019: Bolsonaro’s allegation about Leonardo DiCaprio
Reuters’ people-news summary reported that Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro alleged Leonardo DiCaprio financed fires in the Amazon. Reuters noted that Bolsonaro offered no evidence for the claim; it should be understood as an allegation, not an established fact.

Thanksgiving box office: Frozen 2
