2024 is over, and WWE’s official retrospective confirms notable returns including Roman Reigns at SummerSlam and Goldberg at Bad Blood. But the specific ten-wrestler lineup implied by this headline—and its original publication date—could not be verified. Without that list, it would be misleading to present names as the original predictions or score them as right or wrong.
What WWE’s 2024 retrospective confirms
WWE’s official “Debuts and returns of 2024” playlist describes Roman Reigns returning at SummerSlam to confront Solo Sikoa and Goldberg appearing at WWE Bad Blood. It is useful retrospective context, but it does not establish that either man appeared on the unverified ten-name prediction list.
A separate chronological database from The SmackDown Hotel reports 53 combined WWE debut and return entries for 2024. That is not a count of returning wrestlers: its entries also include first-time debuts, TNA talent appearances, and non-wrestler personalities. The database’s total therefore cannot serve as a scorecard for this headline.
Other 2024 return predictions are not this list
Contemporaneous coverage offers comparison, not proof of the intended lineup. On September 25, 2024, Nik O Connor of Khel Now named Paul Heyman, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, Carmella, Jimmy Uso, Alexa Bliss, The Rock, and Charlotte Flair as candidates who could return before year-end. That is an eight-name forecast published late in the year, not the verified ten-wrestler list suggested here.

Earlier, on December 20, 2023, WhatCulture’s Michael Hamflett published “10 WWE Returns That Must Happen In 2024.” One visible entry hoped for Zack Ryder—then wrestling as Matt Cardona—to return. “Must happen” expresses the writer’s opinion; it does not establish a confirmed WWE plan or identify the lineup in this headline.
Why a reliable prediction scorecard needs the original list
A retrospective can fairly judge a forecast only if it preserves the names and date of the original prediction. The date matters because it shows what was knowable at the time; without it, later announcements or appearances can make an earlier guess look more certain than it was.

- WWE action figures bring fan-favorite Superstars to life in 6-inch scale!
- Each figure is detailed with TrueFX technology for a life-like face and added collectability!

- Reenact favorite WWE Main Event matches or create new rivalries and moves for play and display!
- WWE fans can find their favorite Superstar figure or can collect them all (each sold separately, subject to availability).
Each name also needs a consistent definition of “return.” A return to WWE programming, a return to in-ring competition, and a return to the company after leaving are different outcomes. A brief television appearance may count under the first definition without satisfying the second. Any sound scorecard should state which standard it uses, then distinguish confirmed outcomes from rumor, inference, and partial appearances.
