Jewelry executive Olivia Landau estimated its value at $15,000–$20,000; that is an estimate, not a confirmed purchase price.
What did North West give Kim Kardashian?
The gift was a gold nameplate necklace on a diamond tennis chain, according to The Standard’s October 23, 2024 report. Kardashian showed it in an Instagram Story. The front was engraved “Skibidi Toilet”; the reverse read “Love, North” and included the date. Transcriptions may vary in capitalization.
The occasion was Kardashian’s 44th birthday on October 21, 2024—not a current birthday announcement. The Independent’s October 22, 2024 report also described the inscriptions and the birthday gift.
Was the necklace really worth $20,000?
There is no verified sale price in the cited reports. Olivia Landau, chief executive of jewelry brand The Clear Cut, estimated the necklace’s value at $15,000–$20,000, as reported by The Standard and Geo News on October 23, 2024. The range should be treated as an expert estimate, not proof of what anyone paid.

Landau also estimated that the diamonds were 0.08–0.10 carats each. That per-diamond figure is likewise an attributed estimate, not a documented specification or independent appraisal. The cited coverage does not establish a maker, appraisal document, or who arranged or paid for the necklace.
What does “Skibidi Toilet” mean?
It refers to a YouTube web series featuring toilets with human heads and humanoid opponents. The Independent explains the reference in its report on the gift. The inscription turns the necklace into a personalized reference rather than a conventional nameplate.

Why did the necklace stand out?
The design combined a personalized nameplate with a diamond tennis chain—two jewelry styles Landau described as popular trends in The Standard’s coverage. The contrast between a playful internet reference and a fine-jewelry format is what made the birthday gift unusual. The reports do not identify the jeweler or establish that this exact necklace is available to buy.
For someone considering a similar custom gift, the practical distinctions are the wording and engraving, the metal and stones used, and whether the piece is fashion jewelry or fine jewelry. A personalized engraved nameplate is not automatically comparable to this reported diamond-chain design, and the estimated value cannot be applied to other pieces.
