How NYT Pips works
Pips is a digital logic puzzle built around dominoes. Place tiles on the board while satisfying the conditions shown in colored regions. Depending on the region, its cells may need to total an exact sum, contain equal values, or meet a less-than condition; some cells have no rule. Tiles can be rotated to fit. Tom’s Guide’s Pips explainer describes these core mechanics.
