The chapter is historical: a fan-maintained chapter reference lists its publication date as May 27, 2024. The leaks thread should be distinguished from the subreddit’s separate official-release discussion.
What the Chapter 261 leaks thread is
The r/Jujutsufolk post is a community discussion about leaked material ahead of the chapter’s official release. Its description asks readers to support the official release and points to a Discord source for reposted leaks. That makes the post a place for fan reactions and discussion—not a source that establishes what the publisher released or endorses the material being shared.

A parallel r/Jujutsushi post was also explicitly designated as a pre-release leaks discussion. The two threads reflect fan-community discussion around the same chapter, but neither should be treated as an official publication channel.
How to distinguish leaks discussion from release discussion
r/Jujutsufolk also has a separate post titled “JUJUTSU KAISEN: CHAPTER 261 RELEASE DISCUSSION.” That title marks a different context: discussion associated with the official release rather than advance leak reactions. The distinction matters when reading older links, since the chapter is no longer upcoming.
