How did Survivor 48 begin and end?
The season opened with “The Get to Know You Game” on February 26, 2025. CBS’s episode synopsis says the 18 contestants were abandoned in Fiji and competed for essential camp supplies in the first challenge. The January announcement scheduled that premiere as a two-hour broadcast, from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
The initial format was three tribes of six. CBS described the players’ task as forming a new society, adapting to their surroundings, and navigating an increasingly complex social game. The cast announcement did not list tribe names.
