How to choose by genre and mood
For time travel or superhero action
Choose Back to the Future for a time-travel story built around Marty’s accidental disruption of his parents’ romance. Spider-Man 2 offers a different kind of action, centered on the conflict between Spider-Man and Otto Octavius.
For romance or comedy
Call Me by Your Name is the romantic drama on the list, while Easy A takes a teen-comedy approach with Olive Penderghast at its center.

This is a title-led recommendation roundup. BGR highlights Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Easy A, and Spider-Man 2, but it does not provide a scoring rubric, audience-rating comparison, or measured ranking that would establish one film as better than another. The dates are the publication’s July 2024 additions claims; they do not show whether a film remains on Netflix now or was available in every market.
Rank #2
- The original Bad Boys, Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence), are back. After a string of assassinations and an attempt on Mike?s life, he convinces a hesitant Marcus to hold off retirement and partner one last time. Together, they team up with AMMO, the new hotshot division of the Miami PD, to take down the merciless head of the Aretas Cartel.
For a current viewing decision, search the title in the Netflix catalog for your country. Catalog availability can vary by market and change over time, so the historical dates should not be treated as a present-day availability guarantee.
