Celebrity closet tours reveal remarkable rooms and collections, but they do not establish that any of them is worth more than a home. The available coverage documents design, possessions and a few attributed estimates—not comparable appraisals of eight closets against home prices. A separate 2021 Vogue India feature does offer a documented tour of eight celebrity wardrobes, while other profiles show how celebrities organize shoes, clothes and accessories.
What the headline’s “worth more than a home” claim can—and cannot—mean
A closet tour can show a room’s layout, storage and visible belongings. It cannot, by itself, establish the market value of the room or its contents. The available profiles do not provide a consistent set of appraisals, a valuation date, or matched home prices for eight celebrities. So the examples below are best read as documented closet tours and reported figures—not as a verified ranking of closets worth more than houses.
Eight celebrity closet tours documented by Vogue India
Vogue India published a feature on February 16, 2021, covering eight celebrity closets. It describes spaces and personal style, not monetary valuations.
- Sonam Kapoor Ahuja: The feature shows carved wooden closets and mirrors at her family home.
- Kim Kardashian West: Her closet is described as minimal, with clothes organized by color.
- Gauri Khan: The tour highlights shoe displays, mirrored walls and a perfume display.
- Jennifer Aniston: Her closet combines light wood storage with a vanity.
- Jacqueline Fernandez: The feature shows multicolored shoes and designer handbags.
- Lizzo: Her dedicated clothing room includes high-waisted jeans.
- Victoria Beckham: A sitting area and open rack display clothes from her own label.
- Cardi B: Her profile appears later in the eight-person feature.

Closets with reported figures: room cost, collection estimate and shoe count
These numbers describe different things and come with different levels of attribution. A reported construction cost is not the value of the possessions inside; an estimate attributed to unspecified reports is not an appraisal.

| Celebrity | What coverage reports | What the figure does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Theresa Roemer | Her press page and GOBankingRates describe a three-story, 3,000-square-foot closet and a reported cost of about $500,000 to create. The room is described as having floors for jewelry and bags, designer shoes, furs and hats, as well as a floating staircase and bar. | The reported build cost is not an appraisal of the room today, the contents, or a comparison with a home’s price. |
| Kylie Jenner | Realtor.com says reports estimate her handbag collection at $1 million and describes plans for a two-story closet in a custom home. | The estimate is attributed to reports, not an appraisal; it concerns the handbag collection, not the closet or a home comparison. |
| Tamara Mellon | ELLE Decor describes more than 400 pairs of shoes, organized by color and type, with overflow stored in boxes labeled with photos. | The page extract does not establish a publication year or a monetary value for the shoes or closet. |

What other tours reveal about closet design
Design-focused profiles are more useful as inspiration than as evidence of value. Architectural Digest India’s October 25, 2022 tour describes Aahana Kumra converting a spare room into a closet, Parineeti Chopra’s shoe-focused storage, Karan Johar’s wood-floored closet with space for his children, and Harshvardhan Kapoor’s sneakers arranged by color and type on floor-to-ceiling shelves.

Kendall Jenner’s Realtor.com tour offers a first-person glimpse of how a closet serves more than storage. The room has built-in black shelving, a large mirror, mostly neutral clothing, and sections for leather jackets and Phoebe Philo-era pieces. Jenner describes it as a place to get dressed, pack for a trip and do fittings with her stylist. Those details show how a room can combine daily use, travel preparation and professional styling; they do not put a price on it.

Practical ideas worth borrowing
The useful lesson from these tours is not that an expensive room is necessary. It is that storage can be planned around what a person owns and how they use it.

- Plan for actual routines: A mirror, vanity, seating or room to pack may matter more than display features if dressing and travel preparation are the main tasks.
Why a reliable “worth more than a home” ranking is unavailable
To make that comparison responsibly, each closet would need a clearly defined value: for example, a documented construction cost, an independent appraisal of the room, or a dated appraisal of its contents. That figure would then need to be compared with a home price on a comparable basis. The cited profiles do not provide that consistent evidence for eight celebrities. They document striking spaces and possessions, but not a like-for-like eight-item ranking.
