There is no official “best dressed” award at the Actor Awards. This is an editorial selection of 20 looks from the March 1, 2026, ceremony in Los Angeles, chosen for their design, styling and connection to the evening’s fashion theme: “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ‘20s and ‘30s.”
The 20 standout looks
The selections below combine looks credited by ELLE and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The publications have different selections and some overlap; this is not a shared or official ranking. The order is editorial, not a scorecard.
-
Teyana Taylor in custom Thom Browne
Both ELLE and the CFDA highlighted Taylor’s custom Thom Browne look. Its presence on both lists makes it a natural anchor for a roundup shaped by individual design choices rather than a single publication’s ranking. Tiffany & Co. jewelry completed the look, according to ELLE.
-
Demi Moore in Schiaparelli
Moore wore Schiaparelli; ELLE credits Harry Winston jewelry, while CFDA identifies the dress as Schiaparelli Couture by Daniel Roseberry. The couture attribution makes this a particularly clear example of the evening’s red carpet as a showcase for individually designed fashion, not simply off-the-rack formalwear.

-
Chase Sui Wonders in Miss Sohee
ELLE selected Wonders in Miss Sohee, styled with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. The designer credit gives the look a distinct couture-minded point of view among a carpet that also featured familiar fashion houses.
-
Sarah Pidgeon in Balenciaga
Pidgeon wore Balenciaga with Rahaminov Diamonds jewelry, according to ELLE. The pairing of a sharply recognizable house with diamond jewelry offers a polished take on old-Hollywood formality.
-
Odezza A’zion in Giorgio Armani
ELLE’s selection of A’zion in Giorgio Armani adds a clean, house-led look to the roundup. The available credit does not specify jewelry or other accessories, so the focus here remains on the designer attribution.
-
Wunmi Mosaku in custom Louis Vuitton
Mosaku wore a custom Louis Vuitton look with Messika jewelry. The custom credit matters: it identifies a piece made for the occasion, rather than establishing that an identical garment is sold in stores.

Rose Byrne in Chanel
ELLE named Byrne among the evening’s best dressed in Chanel, paired with Messika jewelry. The combination places a heritage fashion house and contemporary jewelry in the same refined frame.
-
Jenna Ortega in Christian Cowan
Ortega’s Christian Cowan look brought together Jimmy Choo heels and Mikimoto jewelry, per ELLE. The distinct accessory credits make the styling an important part of the overall look, not an afterthought to the dress.
-
Yerin Ha in Balenciaga
Ha wore Balenciaga with David Yurman jewelry, according to ELLE. Her selection alongside Pidgeon’s shows how the same fashion house can appear in separate interpretations rather than one uniform red-carpet formula.
-
Emma Stone in custom Louis Vuitton
Stone’s custom Louis Vuitton look was one of three custom Louis Vuitton outfits on ELLE’s list. The source credits the designer but does not name jewelry, keeping the emphasis on the bespoke fashion choice.

-
Kate Hudson in custom Valentino
Hudson wore custom Valentino, per ELLE. As with other made-for-the-event looks, the custom designation signals that the designer credit should not be read as a readily available retail match.
-
Gwyneth Paltrow in Givenchy
ELLE selected Paltrow in Givenchy with Belperron jewelry. The pairing of the fashion house and jewelry provides a classic route into the ceremony’s Hollywood-glamour theme without needing to claim a specific historical reference for the outfit.
-
Jessie Buckley in Balenciaga
Buckley wore Balenciaga with Jessica McCormack jewelry, according to ELLE. The look adds another distinct styling combination to the evening’s varied roster of designer and jewelry credits.
-
Chase Infiniti in custom Louis Vuitton
Infiniti’s custom Louis Vuitton look was styled with De Beers London jewelry. Its place alongside Stone’s and Mosaku’s selections highlights how three guests wore separate custom designs from the same house.

-
Michelle Williams in Prada
Williams wore Prada, according to ELLE’s list. The source does not provide additional accessory credits, so the house itself is the defining detail established for this look.
-
Sarah Ramos in Rosie Assoulin
CFDA highlighted Ramos in Rosie Assoulin. Including this selection broadens the roundup beyond ELLE’s list and recognizes the industry organization’s own designer-centered perspective.
-
Nana Mensah in vintage Bob Mackie
CFDA named Mensah in vintage Bob Mackie. The vintage credit distinguishes this from custom and current-season designer looks, and makes it one of the roundup’s most direct links to fashion history.
-
Kirsten Dunst in Khaite
CFDA highlighted Dunst in Khaite by Catherine Holstein. The specific attribution identifies the designer behind the label, a useful detail when the evening’s red-carpet choices are discussed by house name.

Natasha Rothwell in Naeem Khan
Rothwell appeared in CFDA’s selection wearing Naeem Khan. That listing brings another designer perspective into a roundup that includes both established luxury houses and individual designer labels.
-
Quinta Brunson in custom Gabriela Hearst
CFDA selected Brunson in custom Gabriela Hearst. As with the custom Louis Vuitton and Valentino looks, this was an occasion-specific design credit, not confirmation of a matching consumer product.
Why the 2026 carpet looked to the 1920s and ’30s
The 32nd Annual Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA took place in Los Angeles on March 1, 2026. ELLE joined as the ceremony’s first official fashion partner, and the event’s first official red-carpet theme was “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ‘20s and ‘30s.” The announcement pointed to references such as bias-cut gowns, drop-waisted silhouettes and more androgynous looks.
Those references describe the theme’s range, not a requirement that every guest reproduce a period costume. A bias cut or dropped waist can evoke an earlier silhouette; an androgynous look can approach the theme from a different direction. The selections above are best read as varied red-carpet interpretations, not as proof that every outfit specifically used one of those historical details.

What the designer credits do—and don’t—tell you
These credits identify the designers and accessories named by ELLE or CFDA; they do not establish that the exact garments are available to buy. Several were explicitly described as custom or couture, and no matching consumer listings are confirmed here. A designer attribution is not a product link or a promise of retail availability.
