Was the August date originally a rumor?
Yes. On August 18, 2025, 9to5Mac reported that When To Stream had claimed the film would arrive on PVOD that Friday. The report noted that Apple and Warner Bros. had not announced a date at that time. Apple’s August 22 announcement subsequently confirmed the date. Read the contemporaneous 9to5Mac report.
When did F1: The Movie start streaming on Apple TV?
Its global streaming debut on Apple TV was December 12, 2025, a date Apple announced on October 13, 2025. The streaming debut followed the digital-purchase window; buying the film and watching it through an Apple TV subscription were distinct options. Apple’s streaming announcement said the film would remain available to purchase from participating digital platforms ahead of that debut, including the Apple TV app, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home. That announcement described availability before December 12, not current store terms.
