What is Season 2 about?
Martian (Michael Fassbender) is a CIA agent “living undercover in his own life,” as Paramount’s official synopsis puts it. His lover, Samia (Jodie Turner-Smith), is a political prisoner in Sudan, and Martian is prepared to risk his position and loyalties to save her. The synopsis frames the choice as one that may push him “even past the point of treachery,” adding: “The only way out is deeper in.”
The series is a new adaptation of the French drama Le Bureau des Légendes, known internationally as The Bureau. The Agency is its own CIA-focused, English-language series—not a continuation of the French show. Paramount Global Content’s series listing also identifies the adaptation and premise.
