Newlyweds in Austin, then living apart
By the time of the March 2024 interview, Sophie and Rob were newlyweds who had moved to Austin, Texas. The interview reported that Sophie had moved in with her friend Kay amid problems in the marriage. Sophie discussed trust, the strain of immigration and moving countries, family opinions, and the difficulty of adjusting to married life.

July 2024: Rob says he is ready to end the marriage
In a July 7, 2024 Entertainment Tonight episode recap, the couple were living apart: Rob traveled to Kansas City while Sophie stayed with Kay. The recap said the episode ended with Rob tearfully saying he was ready to end the marriage. That was his expressed decision in the episode, not confirmation that a divorce had been legally finalized.
The televised split on 90 Day: The Last Resort
Later coverage places their on-screen split at the recommitment stage of season two of 90 Day: The Last Resort. The show’s relationship milestone and the legal end of a marriage are separate things: appearing to split on television does not by itself establish a finalized divorce.
What happened after the split?
TLC’s official 90 Day: The Single Life page lists Sophie in season-five episodes, placing her in later franchise coverage. That listing establishes her appearance on the show; it does not indicate that she and Rob reconciled.

September 2025 coverage from Swooon discussed Rob’s comments on the Hunt for Love Tell All and their post-split situation. Sophie later told Swooon that she first encountered Pedro Jimeno on social media and had met him in person two or three times before a trip to the Dominican Republic. That brief update concerns Sophie’s post-split life, not a reconciliation with Rob.

In an interview published February 9, 2026, Sophie told Swooon: “Divorce is a very long process, so it’s still not finalized, but it’s definitely being worked on.” This is her dated account of the divorce process—not a court-record update or proof of its status after that interview. The available timeline therefore distinguishes their televised separation and split from the legal completion of a divorce.
