That was a hypothetical answer, not a vote cast in the game.
Who would Chelsie have voted for?
Chelsie told Parade she would have voted for Makensy. Asked whether she would join an emotional jury and vote for Cam if Makensy pulled the “fast one” of evicting her, Chelsie answered: “No, I would have voted for Makensy.” She said Makensy had fought hard and deserved first place if Chelsie could not win.

Chelsie described their relationship as a deep friendship formed over the previous weeks: “I was going to protect her, she was going to protect me.” She said she expected Makensy to take her to the final two, though she had a moment of doubt during Makensy’s final speech. Chelsie added that she, too, would have taken Makensy had she won the last Head of Household competition.
What actually happened at the finale?
The hypothetical did not happen. Makensy won the final Head of Household competition and chose to take Chelsie to the final two. The jury then voted unanimously for Chelsie, 7–0, earning her the $750,000 prize, as reported by TV Insider and Parade.

Chelsie said she had not expected a unanimous result. Before learning the outcome, she thought the vote might be 4–3 for Makensy and was concerned about how Angela, Leah, and Quinn might vote. She believed her connections with the jury and a well-rounded final speech could win her support.

In a separate post-finale interview with TV Insider, Chelsie attributed her win to social management and relationship-building. She acknowledged that Makensy had nearly twice as many competition wins, while describing her own game as more relationship-focused and well-rounded. That was Chelsie’s retrospective assessment of the result, not an independent measurement of the players’ games.
