There is no universal list of ten horror films that are all included with Disney+: the service’s October 2026 horror guide mixes Disney+ titles with films labeled Hulu, and availability varies by region. The picks below are ten worthwhile films from that guide, selected for their distinct kinds of horror—not ranked as an objective top ten. Check the film’s label and your local catalog before you press play.
How to read this list
Disney’s guide, revised October 1, 2026, includes both movies and shows and identifies several films below as Hulu titles. Selected Hulu content is available through Disney+ only to eligible U.S. residents aged 18 or older; some additional titles are available only in the Hulu app, and location data is required for certain content. Disney says platform and regional availability may vary. Disney’s horror guide and its availability notice provide the current service context.

For each film, the access label below follows Disney’s guide. “Hulu” does not mean that every Disney+ subscriber can stream it inside Disney+; check whether it appears in your app and whether it opens Hulu. The guide’s summaries do not establish ratings or content advisories, so consult the listing in your region if suitability is a concern.
Ten horror films to consider
1. Hereditary — family secrets and mounting dread
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. After her mother dies, a woman and her family uncover increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. Toni Collette stars. This is a pick for viewers who want the horror to build from family grief and unease rather than start as a straightforward monster chase. Disney describes it as a modern horror classic.

Ari Aster directs; the cast includes Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, Vilhelm Blomgren, William Jackson Harper, and Will Poulter. Its festival setting makes it an option for viewers drawn to unsettling communal rituals and psychological tension. See Disney’s film listing.
3. Heretic — a deadly game of cat-and-mouse
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. Two young missionaries visit a man played by Hugh Grant and find themselves trapped in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse. Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East also star; Scott Beck and Bryan Woods wrote and directed. Choose it for a contained, conversational setup that turns into a survival threat. Disney’s guide has the full listing.
4. The Substance — body horror and a career at a crossroads
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. Demi Moore plays Elisabeth Sparkle, a former television fitness star who is drawn to a mysterious drug after losing her show. Coralie Fargeat directs. The premise makes this a fit for viewers seeking psychological horror tied to a disturbing physical transformation. Check Disney’s film page.
5. Ready or Not — a lethal family game
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. Grace’s in-laws force her into a deadly game of hide-and-seek. The setup puts the horror in direct collision with a grotesquely high-stakes family ritual, making it a natural choice for viewers who like danger with a darkly comic edge. Disney’s guide lists the film and its sequel under Hulu.

6. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come — the next chapter
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. The sequel follows soon after the first film and brings Grace together with her estranged sister, Faith. It is the pick for anyone who wants to continue the story rather than start with a separate premise. The guide groups it with Ready or Not; check the local listing for its availability and whether you need to watch through Hulu. View Disney’s listing.
7. Oddity — occult investigation and haunted objects
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. Blind occultist Darcy confronts suspects after her twin’s murder, using haunted objects. Damian McCarthy directed this 2024 supernatural horror film. Its central appeal is the combination of a murder investigation and an occult threat. Disney’s guide provides the synopsis.

8. Late Night with the Devil — a broadcast gone wrong
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. A 1977 late-night television broadcast goes wrong and unleashes evil into viewers’ homes. The retro TV setup makes this a strong option for viewers who want supernatural horror framed around a public event turning dangerous. See Disney’s title page.
9. Send Help — stranded with a colleague
Access label in Disney’s guide: Hulu. Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien play business colleagues stranded on an island after a plane crash in an original darkly comic psychological thriller. The survival situation and uneasy workplace relationship make it a different flavor from the guide’s occult and supernatural picks. Read Disney’s description.

10. Werewolf by Night — a monster story with classic-horror inspiration
Access label in Disney’s guide: Marvel Studios. After their leader’s death, monster hunters gather and are pushed into a deadly competition involving a dangerous monster. Disney says the special was inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s. It offers a monster-centered alternative to the Hulu-labeled psychological and survival films above.
