The event and the Fashion Stakes competition
PerthNow described the 68th running of the TAB Golden Slipper as a day featuring five Group 1 races and a $10 million prize pool. Those event figures come from its 2024 report. On the racing side, the Australian Turf Club’s results page records Lady Of Camelot as the Golden Slipper winner, ridden by B. Shinn in 1:09.76; that result is separate from the fashion competition.
The Australian Turf Club’s 2024 competition terms list both Golden Slipper Day and The Star Championships Day 1, held on 6 April, as Fashion Stakes race days. The terms specify two best-dressed winners on each of the two listed days. They also say entrants had to be at least 18 and Australian residents, and that outfits should reference autumn racing dress codes and current trends while expressing personal style. PerthNow’s roundup does not identify the competition winners.

How the Golden Slipper style theme is framed today
The Australian Turf Club’s current style page describes Golden Slipper Day with the theme “A touch of Gold.” That is present-day guidance and should not be taken as proof of a formal dress code or of what attendees were required to wear in 2024. The same page lists apparel labels and milliners, including Lee Lin, Pasduchas, Olga Berg, Eliya The Label, Izoa, Carla Zampatti, Stacey Hemera Roberts, Embellish Atelier, Somewhere Here Now and Ford Millinery; the listing does not establish that any of them supplied the outfits in PerthNow’s roundup.
For someone looking to translate the photographed looks into a search, “gold mesh fascinator headband” is an inspiration phrase suggested by the reported mesh veil and headband—not a verified product name. The article does not establish an exact item, brand or current stock.
