FireAid’s later announcement of its first grants listed the Eagles among private donors whose gifts contributed to the overall fundraising total. FireAid was a benefit concert held on January 30, 2025, at Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Inglewood. More than 30 artists took part, and the event was carried across broadcast and streaming partners. FireAid reported that more than 50 million viewers watched across 28 streaming platforms; that audience figure is the organization’s report of the event’s reach.

Netflix said the Annenberg Foundation advised on the distribution of contributions; that advisory role should not be confused with direct administration of every grant.

How much did FireAid raise, and where did the money go?
FireAid reported an estimated $100 million raised overall from ticket sales at both venues, sponsorships, merchandise sales, and public donations, including private gifts such as the Eagles’ contribution. The organization said the funds were designated for direct relief and would not be used for administrative purposes. The $100 million is FireAid’s estimate, not a final independently itemized accounting in the cited announcement.
In its first grant round, announced in February 2025, FireAid said it distributed $50 million to more than 120 community-based nonprofit organizations. The charity later reported that those grants reached over 150,000 Angelenos.
