That option does not guarantee a ticket: availability depends on the claim flow, participating theaters and remaining inventory. Check Angel’s live page for your area and screening before making plans.
How to check for a free ticket
-
Open Angel’s Pay it Forward page for The King of Kings and select “Claim Free Ticket” if the option is available.

Follow the current claim flow. Angel’s published terms say applicants must provide a reason for requesting a ticket and create an Angel account; those terms are dated March 29, 2023, so follow any newer instructions or terms presented on the live page.
-
Check the theater, location and showtime offered before submitting. The published terms describe a waitlist and first-come, first-served distribution, and limit redemption to participating theaters.

Do not treat a claim or waitlist position as a confirmed seat. Angel’s terms say eligibility does not establish a right to receive a ticket, and tickets are limited and subject to availability.
Is the King of Kings giveaway still going?
No. Angel’s FAQ, updated July 15, 2026, says the film’s giveaway has ended. The FAQ’s statement refers to that giveaway; Angel’s separate Pay it Forward page still displays a free-ticket claim option. The two offers should not be confused: the live claim page is the place to check for possible Pay it Forward inventory, not evidence that the ended giveaway has resumed.

Angel says Angel Guild members can stream The King of Kings on Angel.com or the Angel App. This is a home-streaming option for members, not a free theater ticket.

Do not rely on expired screenings
Angel announced a free screening at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for June 1, 2025. That event is over. Its announcement required advance reservations, limited orders to four tickets, and warned that a reservation confirmation did not guarantee a seat if the reservation was not claimed before the cutoff. It is a historical example, not a current way to get tickets.
About the film
Angel’s press page lists The King of Kings as released April 11, 2025, with a PG rating for thematic material, violent content and some scary moments. Angel describes the story as a father telling his son a bedtime tale that becomes a journey alongside Jesus.
