Three of the five couples featured in I Love a Mama’s Boy Season 3 were reported split: Matt McAdams and Brittany Taylor, Shekeb Sekander and Emily Chu, and Tre Welch and Abbey England. Ethan Weisman and Leyna Rosen, and Roberto Hernandez and Kristy Miera, were described as together in later coverage—but those reports do not amount to direct confirmation of their status today.
Season 3 couples: where they stand in the available reports
| Couple | Best-supported status | What the reporting says |
|---|---|---|
| Matt McAdams and Brittany Taylor | Split | A season recap published October 2, 2022, said they were not together. A September 2024 cast update described Matt with Devon Hawley; it did not establish his current relationship status. |
| Shekeb Sekander and Emily Chu | Split | Their Season 3 story ended amid a breakup. A September 2024 update said the finale pointed toward a permanent split, while noting they had not posted about each other in a while. That social-media observation is not direct confirmation of their current status. |
| Ethan Weisman and Leyna Rosen | Last reported together | Coverage in 2022 and 2024 described them as still together, with wedding plans postponed. An April 2026 secondary update repeated that they were together, but no direct, dated confirmation from the couple was established. |
| Roberto Hernandez and Kristy Miera | Last reported together | Season-end and later secondary coverage described them as together and focused on family. No direct, dated confirmation from the couple was established. |
| Tre Welch and Abbey England | Split; co-parenting reported | The season-end recap said they had separated. A September 2024 update described them as co-parenting; the reviewed coverage gave no indication of a reconciliation. |
What the timeline tells us
The season-end snapshot
A recap published October 2, 2022, recorded the season’s reported outcomes: Matt and Brittany, Shekeb and Emily, and Tre and Abbey were no longer together; Ethan and Leyna, and Roberto and Kristy, were described as together. That is a dated snapshot, not a present-day census. Showbiz Cheat Sheet’s Season 3 recap provides that season-end account.
The later cast update
On September 16, 2024, MEAWW reported that Shekeb and Emily appeared to have called it quits, that Tre and Abbey were co-parenting, and that Matt was appearing with Devon Hawley. It also described Ethan and Leyna, and Roberto and Kristy, as apparently still together. Because the article uses qualified language for some of these claims, it should not be read as direct confirmation from the couples. Read MEAWW’s cast update.
The 2026 update and the limits of “still together”
An April 1, 2026, secondary update repeated that Ethan and Leyna, and Roberto and Kristy, were together, and that the other three couples had split. The reviewed material did not include a direct, dated statement from Ethan and Leyna or Roberto and Kristy confirming their relationship status. For those two couples, “last reported together” is more accurate than a definite claim that they are still together now.

What to make of each couple’s status
Matt McAdams and Brittany Taylor
The season recap reported that Matt and Brittany had split. In 2024, Matt was reported as appearing with Devon Hawley, but that report does not confirm whether he is currently in a relationship. Nothing in the reviewed coverage indicates that Matt and Brittany reconciled.
Shekeb Sekander and Emily Chu
Their relationship ended amid the Season 3 breakup storyline, and the 2024 update characterized the split as appearing final. The couple’s lack of recent posts about each other was part of that report, not proof on its own of their current status.

Roberto Hernandez and Kristy Miera
Season-end and later coverage portrayed Roberto and Kristy as together and focused on family. As with Ethan and Leyna, the reviewed material did not establish a direct, dated confirmation from the couple.
