No. Laz Alonso continued playing Mother’s Milk (M.M.) in The Boys Season 4. The character looked different because Alonso changed his appearance for the role—not because a new actor took over.
Who played M.M. in Season 4?
Laz Alonso remained the actor behind Marvin T. Milk, also known as Mother’s Milk or M.M. Amazon’s official Season 4 cast guide lists “Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk, aka M.M.)” and describes M.M. as running The Boys at the start of the season.

Why did M.M. look different?
Alonso’s appearance had changed, including significant weight loss and a shift from a fuller beard to a soul patch. Those differences prompted viewers to wonder whether the character had been recast, according to ComingSoon’s June 13, 2024 explainer.
What did Laz Alonso say about the change?
In remarks from a Men’s Health conversation reported by Okayplayer on May 20, 2026, Alonso said he wanted the character’s transition to be visible: “Season four came around and I wanted to do something real different.” He explained that the change was intentional, tying M.M.’s new look to the character’s more regimented way of operating. Alonso said: “I shaved, because now he reports directly to the White House. This guy is back into his regimented, military way of running things.”
